O2 Sensor Stand Offs/ Spacers

O2 STAND OFFS, O2 FOULER, O2 SPACER
WHAT DOES AN O2 STANDOFF OR SPACER DO?
BY INSERTING THE EXTENTION BETWEEN THE O2 SENSOR AND THE EXHAUST PIPE, THE SENSOR TIP IS PULLED OUT OF THE FLOW OF EXHAUST AND ONLY GETS "DEAD" FLOW.
THIS CAUSES THE O2 SENSOR TO READ A MUCH RICHER AND "BETTER BURNT" VALUE THAN IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING.

PERFORMANCE USES:

IF YOU DO THIS TO YOUR DOWN STEAM O2 SENSORS, YOU CAN MIMIC THE READINGS PROVIDED BY A CATALYTIC CONVERTER WITHOUT HAVING THE WEIGHT OR RESTRICTION.

CORRECT USAGE:

THESE SPACERS CAN ALSO BE USED TO TURN OFF CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS IF YOU HAVE A FAILING OR MALFUNCTIONING CATALYTIC CONVERTER, BUT IT WOULD BE BETTER TO REPLACE YOUR CAT OR REMOVE IT.
O2 SPACERS SHOULD ONLY BE USED WHEN NECESSARY, IT IS BETTER TO MODIFY CORRECTLY AND CHANGE THE COMPUTER SETTINGS INSTEAD OF TRYING TO TRICK THE OUTPUTS.

CAUTION:
DO NOT USE SPACERS ON YOUR PRIMARY OR UPSTREAM O2 SENSORS.
THIS WILL CAUSE THE ECU TO MODIFY THE FUEL INJECTION RATE THE CORRESPOND WITH THE O2 READINGS.
BECAUSE THE O2 WILL READ RICHER THAN IT ACTUALLY IS, THE ENGINE WILL RUN LEAN UNTIL THE O2 SENSORS READ A "NORMAL" VALUE.
I DID THIS TO MY 2016 MUSTANG WHICH AUTO TUNES ITSELF AND BY RUNNING THIS SET UP FOR 6 MONTHS I PERMANENTLY ALTERED MY STANDARD AIR DENSITY TABLES THAT CANNOT BE ACCESSED.
I ONLY FOUND OUT WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO GET DYNO NUMBERS AND THEIR SYSTEM SHOWED A 16.8 AFR INSTEAD OF 14.2 MY SENSORS READ
